![]() ![]() ![]() Hopefully this is helpful to others on windows who face this issue. This problem is recurring on other Windows 10 PCs so I highly doubt its an update issue since not all our PCs are up to date. Its most definitely not Windows Update as I mentioned that it occurred as soon as I ran a firmware update with Blue Sherpa. Go into your computer’s sound settings and reselect the Blue Yeti as your default microphone to be sure. I cant update any drivers because Windows thinks that the USB mic doesnt have any. Once the restart is complete, plug the Blue Yeti back into the computer. Glad it's working now, I'm not sure if it's blue yetis fault or just windows, but either way I'm a little soured on the product. Give it a few extra minutes before turning it back on to perform a hard reset. ![]() It was a wonderful experience having to wrestle with settings for days just to have my mic be usable. I guess on setup Windows makes the wise choice of cutting your mic input to 20/100. After seeing some other posts I got close, then finally figured it out.Ĭontrol panel->hardware and sound->devices and printers->right click yeti nano->sound settings->recording->Microphone (yeti nano)->levels (set to 100) Saw some posts online talking about driver incompatibility so I thought I was out of luck. I could hear it good through connected earphones to mic, so I knew mic worked, but recording to audacity in windows was way too quiet I used Sherpa to raise gain to max, and I could visually see the difference in Sherpa where the input was at max volume levels vs on Windows sound settings test mic option it was very low. Posting a solution for this because it took me three days to solve and was infuriating.Ī problem I had with my blue yeti nano was on set up in windows 10, I tried to record on audacity and the audio it was picking up was like whispering. ![]()
